Manvel is in Brazoria County, so homes are valued by the Brazoria County Appraisal District. Many newer communities are in a MUD (municipal utility district) or PID (public improvement district), which adds to the city, county and school tax rates. Some homes with a Manvel mailing address sit in neighboring Iowa Colony, which changes the city tax and services.
