South Acres and Crestmont Park

The City of Houston describes South Acres and Crestmont Park as a suburban area of south central Houston across Sims Bayou from Sunnyside, made up mostly of post-war single-family homes. The area was hard to reach until the South Freeway (Highway 288) opened in the early 1980s, followed by the Beltway. Today it offers some of the lowest prices in Houston for an established home. Crestmont Park and King Estates have their own neighborhood parks.
